Synclyst

SyncLyst turns a single phone photo into a ready-to-publish listing. AI writes the title, description, price and tags, and the Chrome extension’s Magic Fill drops it straight into the marketplace form.

Overview

One photo. Full listing. Ready to publish.

SyncLyst is built for resellers, thrift flippers, vintage sellers, estate-sale buyers and anyone who sells second-hand or sourced products online, whether they list 5 items a week or 500.

It is three pieces working as one flow: a phone scanner, an AI that writes the listing, and a Chrome extension that fills the form on whichever marketplace you sell on.

Live marketplaces
  • eBay
  • Etsy
  • Depop
  • Shopify
  • Shopee
  • Vinted
The problem

Writing listings is the bottleneck.

Every item needs a researched title, a description, a price, a category, a condition and tags, typed into each marketplace’s form one by one, switching between apps. Pricing one-off second-hand items means hunting for sold comps first.

The time goes on admin instead of sourcing and selling, and it caps how much a reseller can list.

How it works

From photo to published in three steps

  1. 01

Snap a photo on your phone.

  2. 02

AI writes the listing: a keyword-optimised title, description, suggested price, category, condition and tags. Everything stays editable.

  3. 03

Magic Fill drops it into the form on eBay, Etsy, Depop, Shopify, Vinted or Shopee. Nothing publishes without your approval.

The mobile app

A pocket scanner built for sourcing trips

The phone app is where items get captured, usually in a shop, at a market or in front of a rail. Left to right: the welcome screen sets the promise in one line; the home screen tracks every scan through the queue (scanned, live, extracting, waiting) with the camera always one tap away in the middle of the tab bar; the Features tab gathers the research and camera tools; and Link to Desktop pairs the phone with the Chrome extension, by signing in or scanning a QR code.

Features we added
  1. 01

    Check a price

Type a title or snap a photo, add your cost, and get real sold-comp pricing with a buy-or-pass verdict.

  2. 02

    Estimate measurements

Lay clothing flat with the tag visible and get sizing estimated in seconds.

  3. 03

    Check Only mode

An instant buy-or-pass verdict from a photo, without saving a draft, for decisions on the shop floor.

  4. 04

    Batch mode

Rapid back-to-back capture with no per-shot confirmation, for working through a whole rack.

  5. 05

    Mark flaws on a photo

Tap where a flaw is and pick what it is; AI turns the notes into a polished condition description.

  6. 06

    Fees and currency

Selling defaults estimate fees and profit per marketplace, and a converter handles cross-border comps.

Why a Chrome extension

Built around how sellers already work, not around API approvals

The first plan was direct integrations, but every marketplace has to officially approve an app before it can post listings. The process was long, and on some platforms the approval requirements were so strict that waiting on them would have stalled the product.

Watching how resellers actually worked showed a better route. They photograph items on their phone as they source them, then sit down at a laptop to list in batches. So SyncLyst follows that exact rhythm, and the Chrome extension fills each marketplace’s own listing form, so no platform approval is needed.

On your phone
  1. 01

Scan an item, or a whole rack in Batch mode

  2. 02

AI reads it and drafts the title, description, price and tags

  3. 03

The scan is queued in the cloud, ready to review

  4. 04

    Where is it going?

Shopify, eBay, Etsy · post from phoneShopee, Depop, Vinted · push to desktop

On your laptop
  1. 01

Pair once: sign in to auto-pair, or scan the desktop QR

  2. 02

Queued scans sync to the Chrome extension

  3. 03

Quick review: edit anything before it goes live

  4. 04

Open the store’s Add Product page

  5. 05

Magic Fill completes the form, and you publish

The Chrome extension

Pair once, check the draft, fill the form

On the laptop, the extension works in three steps. Scan to pair your phone (or sign in to auto-pair, or upload a photo from your computer). Quick review shows the drafted title, description and estimated price, so you can edit anything before it goes live. Then open your store’s Add Product page and SyncLyst fills it in for you.

Key decisions

Phone for capture, laptop for publishing

  1. 01

    Pair, don’t re-type

The camera lives on the phone and the marketplaces live in Chrome. On a laptop, SyncLyst shows a code to continue on your phone, with the same link and the same account.

  2. 02

    Free value first

SyncIQ checks any item’s value for free: snap a thrift find for live sold comps and a buy-or-pass read. 10 free scans a day, no sign-up needed.

  3. 03

    You stay in control

Every AI draft is editable and nothing publishes without approval. Photos are processed in-session and not kept beyond the draft.

How I built it

From a Shopify app to an extension for every marketplace

It started in February 2026 as AutoEntry, a Shopify app: scan on the phone, Gemini vision extracts the title, description, price and tags, and the product is created through Shopify’s GraphQL API. It was renamed Vexo Scan, then grew into SyncLyst.

Today it is a Manifest V3 Chrome extension (version 2.0.134) whose content scripts fill listing forms across marketplaces, a mobile scanner, Stripe billing, and a developer API with Zapier support. Early support for Amazon and TikTok Shop is already in the extension.

My role

One person, three surfaces

I designed and built all of it myself: the phone scanner, the AI listing engine and the Chrome extension, plus the brand, the landing page, pricing and billing.

Outcome

Live, and built around the way resellers already work

SyncLyst is live on the web and as a Chrome extension (now on version 2.0.134), listing to six marketplaces with paid plans from £9 a month. The biggest lesson was to design for the workflow people already have: building around phone-to-laptop batching, instead of waiting on platform approvals, is what got it into sellers’ hands.
